Management Team

Graduating with a diploma in Architectural Technology from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in 1986 Mark worked as a draftsman for a major home builder prior to joining Spar Construction Ltd. in 1988. Mark obtained his Certified Engineering Technologist designation in 1989 and earned a Construction Administration Certificate from the University of Alberta in 1990. He became a partner in 1998. Mark has effectively managed numerous residential and commercial restoration, renovation and new construction projects over the years. In addition to his project management role Mark also manages the day to day operations of the company.

Ken has gained extensive project management experience since joining the restoration industry immediately following his graduation in 1981 with a diploma in Building Construction Engineering Technology from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. Ken joined Spar Construction Ltd. as a partner in 1988 and earned his Certified Engineering Technologist certification in 1989. Ken has established himself as a trusted mentor to individuals in the insurance field and has maintained strong client relationships for the past several years.

Prior to joining Spar Construction in 2003, Dave was employed as a property adjuster for a large insurance company. Dave became a partner in 2012. He has earned his IICRC Water Damage Restoration certification and his Haag certification for roofing. Dave’s combined experience in adjusting and project management has proven to be a vital asset in providing a balanced approach towards his restoration projects.

In 2013 Karen joined Spar Construction Ltd. as our Controller. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta and completed the certified management accounting program in 2013 earning her the CPA professional designation.
